Below is an example of a citation created by MS Word in MLA format. Before you create the bibliography, make sure you have replaced all placeholders with a proper citation (for more details, see how to create a citation, how to create a multi-source citation).If you inserted a placeholder for a citation, the source would not appear in the bibliography. When you are ready to type your whole bibliography page, go to the Reference tab again, click on Bibliography and then click “Insert Bibliography. It will appear on your page like the example below.
